Pumpkin (butternut squash) soup

My aunt Ally's recipe. Great in the middle of a cold winter.

- 1 pumpkin (known as butternut squash in the US)
- 1 large yam
- 1 large white potato
- 2 large carrots
- 2 medium onions
- 1 box chicken broth
- 3 cloves garlic
- salt and pepper, to taste

- Combine all ingredients in a stock pot and bring to a boil.
- Once boiling, reduce to low and simmer, 3-4 hours.
- In a food processor or blender, blend until smooth.
Serves about 6 people.
